For years I worked in real estate; my job was to assess places. Seeing what was right and what was missing the moment I walked in — that was my profession.

Then I became a mother — and planning a holiday turned into an entirely different job. I learned first-hand that not every hotel labelled "baby-friendly" actually is: they'd say there was a bassinet, but it turned out unusable; a sea marketed as "shallow" dropped off within two steps; nobody mentioned the step in the middle of the room.

That's why I founded Baby Proof Travel: to bring a professional's eye for assessment together with a mother's real needs. Every story you read here is based on the experience of a family who genuinely stayed at that hotel with their baby. We assign scores by our own independent criteria, we note openly when something contradicts — and no score is ever for sale.

I want a world where the answer to "where can we go with a baby or child?" rests on knowledge, not luck.
