Yazz Collective (Fethiye): a peaceful holiday in nature with a 12-month-old

This is a slightly different story from the others on the blog: Yazz Collective is not a "children's hotel" in the classic sense. There's no kids club, no children's pool — not even an adult pool. And yet, at the end of 6 nights with her 12-month-old, Nurdan gave the holiday a 9 out of 10.

Not a children's hotel — and that's exactly why it works

Nurdan says it plainly: "The hotel is not a children's hotel in the classic sense. Its whole approach is built around nature and tranquility." With her baby only 12 months old, the absence of children's activities didn't affect them at all; on the contrary, the silence, the nature and the comfort "did them a world of good." If what matters to a family with a small baby is peace rather than entertainment, this hotel speaks directly to that need.

The sea: shallow, safe and genuinely beautiful

She gave the Sea & pool category full marks; she found the sea shallow and safe. You do need to go knowing there is no pool — here, the holiday happens in the bay. There was a bassinet in the room, and she could get around the grounds comfortably with a stroller.

The kitchen: for those who don't love open buffets

"Since we don't like open buffets, we really loved the kitchen and the restaurant," she says. Standard fittings like a baby buffet and high chairs, however, are missing — and that is what balances the Food & equipment score: the cuisine is refined, but baby-specific equipment is limited.

Who is it not for?

Nurdan's clearest warning: "It's a hotel where older children could get bored — there's no kids club, no children's pool, not even an adult pool." And there is one natural side effect of being in the middle of nature: on some days you may see plenty of flies and bees. She found the value for money "passable" — comfort and care come at a price.

Although "Family experience" reads as 4/20, this is not a lack of quality but the hotel's deliberate choice: there is no kids club, no children's activities and no children's pool. It didn't affect Nurdan's experience with her 12-month-old; families with older children, however, should make their decision knowing this.
