Liberty Hotels Lykia (Ölüdeniz): A packed week at a mega-resort with a 4-year-old

Merve spent five ultra all-inclusive nights at Liberty Hotels Lykia in July 2026 with her 4-year-old son and shared her experience through our form — the family's second visit. Her verdict: 8 out of 10, "we'd go back and recommend it" — but this time with the changes they observed noted honestly.

"We loved it when my son was 3, too; this year it felt more crowded, but it still met our expectations."

The power of scale — and its price

Lykia in one word: big. "It has the sea, children's pools, a children's cove, an aquapark — spread over such a large area that it can answer every need." The flip side: because your child wants to make the most of every area, the holiday pace can get tiring 🙂 Setting expectations accordingly — not trying to do everything every day — is practically this resort's user manual.

The sea, honestly: the cove is shallow, the main beach is tough

The most important honest note concerns the sea: "The sea was quite pebbly and choppy." There's a separate children's cove — rock breakwaters make it shallower and sheltered; but then "it may not be much fun for adults." So the ideal setup: spend sea time with your child in the sheltered cove, and save the grown-up swimming for the pool. Asked "was the sea shallow and safe?", the answer was a clear "No" — that's where the low Sea & pool score comes from.

A surprising strength for families with babies

Perhaps the most valuable detail in this story: kids' club support isn't just for older children — "There are play nannies even for babies, from the earliest months." A bassinet was available and stroller access is comfortable. For their 4-year-old, "a wide variety of age-appropriate activities" filled the days. The layout tactic: central room + shuttle

Built into a hillside, the grounds are "sloped and stair-heavy" — but they share the practical fix: "Our room was very central, so reaching every area was easy. The shuttle also runs frequently." Requesting a centrally located room at booking is the detail that decides this hotel's comfort.

Crowds and service: compared to last year

They don't hide the difference between the two visits: "Last year, waiter service at dinner and the evening activities was better and faster. This year — maybe the crowds, maybe staffing — service moved more at our request; tables weren't being checked regularly." The kind of observation families planning a peak-season stay should know.
