Hillside Beach Club (Fethiye): A "worth every penny" holiday with a 6-year-old
The kids' club sweet spot after age 4, a shallow and safe bay, a full-marks stay — and one practical warning: finding a room to book is hard.

✓ Great if you're after
- A holiday where both the child and the parents actually rest (4+)
- A shallow, safe bay as your sea priority
- An upper-tier family escape in Fethiye
★ Its strongest side
The kids' club balance: the child has a great time at the club while the parents genuinely unwind — in Berna's words, "that's what you're paying for here."
! Watch out for
- Availability is hard to find — book well ahead
- The kids' club starts around age 4; support for younger children is limited
Berna Arslan stayed four all-inclusive nights at Hillside Beach Club with her 6-year-old and gave full marks in all six categories — 10 out of 10 overall. Her form was short but pointed, and every sentence aims the same way: for a family with a child, this hotel earns its price.
"Worth every penny — if you have a child under 15."
The sweet spot after age 4
The heart of Berna's experience is the kids' club: "Especially after age 4, your child has a wonderful time at the kids' club while you finally get to switch off." And she adds: "Don't forget — that's what you're paying for here." In her view, Hillside's upper-tier price buys exactly that balance: the child's fun and the parents' rest happening at the same time. She notes the club covers roughly ages 4 and up — families with younger children should plan around that.
The bay: shallow, safe, with a children's pool
On the water side, the picture is what families look for: Berna found the bay shallow and safe, and there's a separate children's pool. A bassinet was available, and getting around with a stroller was comfortable — worth noting for a resort built into a forested hillside.
The one real difficulty: getting a room
Her only negative isn't even about the hotel itself: "The only problem is finding availability." Demand runs so high that rooms are hard to come by — if you're eyeing the season, book months ahead. Hard to imagine a stronger reference for a hotel than that.

The Baby Proof Travel assessment
Scoring note: The scores are Berna's own category-by-category ratings; we found nothing in what she wrote that contradicts them, and by principle we don't cut scores without a contradiction. Two caveats: (1) the full mark in Family experience was given through the eyes of a 6-year-old — as the kids' club covers roughly ages 4 and up, families with younger children should read that category with their own situation in mind. (2) The stay dates to 2024; the "0–1 view" on the journal page recalculates this score from a baby's perspective.
